Let it be known that, after playing 12 innings of classic "Moneyball" (10 walks, 8 hits), the Oakland Athletics won a game with a bunt with the bases loaded. Congrats to everybody who stayed up and watched the whole game, it was a doozie (one advantage of working late shifts — I don't have to wake up tomorrow morning). Hey, wasn't this the ending from Major League? Was this life imitatiing art?

One more point: I thought the TV crew (O'Brien, Justice, Brantley) did a solid job, but it was unforgivable for ESPN to interrupt the game to announce that their stupid football commentator had resigned. Not only that, but for the last four innings, the ticker at the bottom of the screen kept repeating the "breaking news", that their stupid football commentator had resigned.

I mean, if it had been Donald Rumsfeld or Dan Rather or Bill Gates who had resigned, then I can see that as a big story. But (name deleted)? Give us a break.]
