I rarely post on events as they're happening, so this may not be either the most fair or lucid thing I've ever written. Nevertheless, while those of us who don't follow the Brewers have known for some time that the club had some management/roster issues, I don't think many of us really realized how serious they were until (1) the manager was fired with two weeks left in the season, and (2) the team, abetted by the interim manager, just quit on national television in an elimination game.

There's not much choice now, is there? They have to clean out the front office and field management and start fresh. Maybe that's extreme, but holy cow, as bad as the Cubs looked last night, the Brewers looked one thousand times worse.
